canine captain - dog daycare

Pups4Fun Canine Captains are the front line of our leadership team. With strong planning and leadership skills, they are responsible for the day to day operations of our daycare and the supervision and coordination of small teams.

Canine Captains hold strong knowledge of dog behaviour and training, and are passionate about learning.  They seek and share knowledge through training and personal development, and use this to manage the operations of our dog daycare facilities. They can show their creativity through organising training activities, games and outings around Canberra for our lucky dogs. Our activities are only limited by imagination.

Each day is different at Pups4Fun, and our Canine Captains have the ability to learn and work across different areas, building their skills in both leadership and large group daycare management. Pups4Fun have some of Canberra’s best daycare facilities including PupsDam for swimming, our PupsPark Disneyland for Dogs, our Northside Neverland, and opportunities to build skills on public outings. We go beyond the traditional dog daycare allowing our team to build strong skills in managing and training groups of dogs.

As an integral part of our Leadership Team, our Canine Captains take part in leadership development workshops and training throughout the year. There is the opportunity to take on vocational training including the Cert IV Training and Assessment or Cert III in Animal Care as the part of the development for the role.

Canine Captains build strong leadership skills, making this a great progression to move further into your pet industry career.
